Casino staff appeal to London Mayor of C-charge extension

Casinos have appealed to Sadiq Khan (London Mayor) to exempt their night staff from the new congestion fee expansion that comes into force on Monday 22nd June 2020.
The plea comes after the Mayor has been made to elevate the C-charge from £10.50 to £15 and expand its hours from 7am – 6pm to 7am – 10pm to help fill a fiscal black hole in his transport budget.
The British Gambling Council stated 2,415 employees at 15 of its own casinos will have staff effected as they drive to work for their late shift and will face these new charges. No doubt there will be thousands more that could rack up bills of more than several hundred pounds per month.
It maintained their employees in London frequently had no option but to drive since most public transportation had ceased by the time that they left work.
